EPIC Glass Tinting

EPIC Glass Tinting  provides its clients with the very best in safety and security window films and anchoring restraint systems. LLumar offers a series of specially constructed films. The film holds the glass intact upon violent impact forces, mitigating the injuries from lethal  flying projectiles. LLumar safety and security films are available in clear or a variety of solar energy rejecting versions.

Anchoring System.  A reinforcement mechanism that holds the filmed glass in the frame more securely, giving it extra impact resistance. EPIC Glass Tinting utilizes this type of anchoring system. This may be specified for use in blast mitigation, natural disaster protection and anti-intrusion applications.

Wet Glaze System.  Utilizes Dow Corning 995 structural silicone to create a bond that connects the filmed glass to the existing window frame. The wet glaze system is designed to maintain the structure of the shattered glass while Dow Corning 995 reduces the shearing effect along the edges of the window frame.

EPIC Glass Tinting attended Force Protection Equipment Demonstration IV. The three day event was held in May 2003 as an exhibitor staged at Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia. The event is co-sponsored by the Department of  Defense.

This is an invitation-only exhibit held to demonstrate state-of-the-art protection equipment to all components of the United States Federal Government. This event is open to select manufacturers and their guests only.

Product demonstration was tested with LLumar 14 mil. clear security film and anchored with Frame/Lok Attachment System. 40 pounds C4 explosives were discharged from a stand off distance of 50 feet. Passed a perfect GSA level 2 testing method.
